Cardwell Hybrid Tea Tree

Cross between L. ‘Cardwell’ and L. ‘Rhiannon’. Evergreen shrub 2m high by 1.5m wide. Linear, pale green leaves. Flowers have 5 pink/red petals with green and white centres.  There are many named hybrid tea tree cultivars apart from this one.

Uses

Ornamental plant with spectacular floral display. Useful as a screen or informal hedge. Attracts nectar feeding insects that attract birds.

Culture

Prefers full sun and is suited to most soil types. Can be pruned after flowering. Fertilise to promote additional flowers. Propagate by cuttings (protected by Plant Breeders Rights).
