Kolomikta
Deciduous climber or mounded shrub, growing up to 6m high, depending on growing conditions. Young leaves are red-green. Mature leaves turn bright green with pink or white patches, to 15cm long. Flowers are small and white, occurring in early summer.
Uses
Ornamental climbing plant grown mainly for its foliage, suitable for growing on a trellis or other support in a sunny position.
Culture
Prefers full sun and a sheltered position in a cool temperate climate. Grows best in moist fertile soils. Can be trained on a trellis or espaliered.
Propagation
Propagate by cuttings.
