Deciduous or semi-evergreen open shrub reaching up to 4m. Large upright spikes of bright yellow pineapple scented flowers appear from early to mid-summer along the current season’s growth. Foliage is silver-grey, and composed of 3 leaflets.

Ornamental shrub, scented gardens.
Culture
Generally easy garden subjects, they prefer full sun and fertile soil, but will flower well under most conditions except deep shade. Plants are frost tolerant, and will do well in both dry and boggy soils. They are easily propagated from seed in autumn, semi-ripe cuttings in summer or by grafting.
