Blue Passionfruit

Fast-growing, evergreen or semi-evergreen climber to 10m high, depending upon the support. Palmate, dark green leaves. The flowers are white or pink, with blue or purple centres and prominent stamens during summer and autumn. Green, egg-shaped fruit.

Uses

Ornamental climber suitable for pergolas and trellis. The fruit is edible but not particularly nice.

Culture

Grow in full sun in temperate and warm climates. Prefers fertile, well-drained soil. Requires support. Frost resistant. Propagate by seed in spring, or by cuttings or layering in summer.
