Milky bellflower

Clump-forming, upright herbaceous perennial to 1.5m high. Strong, branching stems bear narrow ovate leaves. Bell-shaped, white, pink, purple or blue flowers occur in panicles on slender stems during summer.

Uses

Flowering perennial suitable for cottage gardens and garden beds.

Culture

Suitable for full sun or part shade in temperate climates, but flowers best in full sun. Prefers moist, fertile and well-drained soil. Protect from winds and stake flowers if necessary. Frost tolerant. Prune after flowering. Propagate by seed, division or cuttings. Protect from snails and slugs.
