Evergreen, clump-forming, grass-like herbaceous perennial growing to .6m high by .2m wide. Linear leaves are copper-coloured and red towards the base. Triangular stems bear insignificant brown spikelets in summer.

Uses

Perennial grown for its ornamental leaves that is suitable for rockeries, herbaceous borders and garden beds.

Culture

Prefers full sun and a temperate climate. Tolerates waterlogged soils. Propagate by seed or division.
