Globe cornflower
Clump-forming harbaceous perennial 1m high by .6m wide. Mid-green leaves are ovate and deeply lobed, similar to a large dandelion leaf. Yellow flower heads 5cm across are surrounded by silver-brown bracts and borne on stout stems in summer.
Uses
Flowering perennial suitable for cottage gardens, perennial borders and rockeries. Also used as a dried flower.
Culture
Prefers full sun, well-drained soil and a temperate climate. Propagate by seed or division.
