Perennial Rye Grass
Fast growing, hard wearing, tuft-forming turf grass. The stem is smooth, slender and erect. Leaves are linear, glossy and dark green. If not mown, will grow to .5m high and produce seed on slender, spike-like, yellow-green inflorecences.
Uses
Hard wearing turf grass suitable for sports fields and lawns in cool and temperate climates.
Culture
Prefers full sun and mild climates, not growing well in either very cold or very hot conditions. It likes fertile and slightly acidic well-drained soils. Do not mow lower than 4cm from soil surface. Propagate from seed.
