Snapdragon

Erect perennial to .6m high, usually grown as an annual. Leaves are oblong and grey-green. Tubular flowers ranging in colour from white, yellow, pink, purple and orange are borne on spectacular upright spikes.

Uses

Suitable as a flowering annual in cottage gardens and as a bedding plant.

Culture

Suitable for full sun and a cool or temperate climate. Prefers moist, fertile and well-drained soil for best flowering. Frost tolerant. Dead head to promote flowering. 

Propagation

Propagate by seed.

Susceptible to rust.
