Evergreen herbaceous perennial forming clumps to approx .5m high. Leaves are dense and divided. Large cup-shaped flowers range from white, green, pink and purple, occurring in late winter or early spring. Poisonous plant.

Uses

Ornamental perennial suitable for shaded sites and under deciduous trees.

Culture

Prefers part shade and a cool climate. Grows best in moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Don't allow soil to dry out during summer. Frost tolerant. Old foliage can be pruned before flowering. Propagate by seed or division. Susceptible to aphids.
