Fleshy-rooted, herbaceous perennial forming clumps .6m high by .3m wide. Fern-like leaves are deeply divided. Trumpet-shaped, pink-red flowers are borne on upright stems in summer.

Suitable for full sun or part shade in cool or temperate climates. Requires well drained soil and prefers moist, fertile soil. Tolerates frost. Propagate by seed or division.
