Also know as L. callilepis. Low growing herbaceous perennial forming clumps .6m high by .3m wide. Rootstock is corm-like. Leaves are grass-like basal tufts. Spikes of fluffy white, pink or purple flowers are borne on upright stems in late summer.
Uses
Ornamental perennial suitable for rockeries, cottage gardens and perennial borders. Also used as a cut flower.
Culture
Suitable for full sun and most soils in cool and temperate climates. Tolerates waterlogged conditions, but prefers well-drained soils and low humidity. Propagate by seed or division.
