Summer Phlox, Perennial Phlox
Upright herbaceous perennial to 1m high. Leaves are ovate,mid-green and pointed. Tubular flowers occur in dense terminal clusters during summer. There is a wide variety of cultivars featuring flowers ranging in colour from, white, pink, red and purple.
Uses
Ornamental perennial suitable for cottage gardens and garden beds.
Culture
Suitable for full sun or part shade in temperate climates. Prefers moist, fertile and well-drained soil. Propagate by seed, cuttings or division. Susceptible to two-spotted mite, eel worm and powdery mildew.
