Ice Plant

Clump-forming herbaceous perennial growing to a height and width of approx .5m. Leaves are fleshy, obovate and grey-green with indented margins, held on upright stems. Masses of small, pink, star-shaped flowers are held in flat, terminal heads.

Uses

Succulent perennial suitable as a groundcover in exposed dry sites in rockeries, perennial borders and garden beds. Also used in pots and hanging baskets.

Culture

Suitable for full sun in temperate and warm climates. Prefers fertile, well-drained soil. Tolerates frost, drought and coastal conditions. Propagate by division or cuttings.
