Giant Feather Grass, Golden Oats
Evergreen, clump-forming, herbaceous perennial grass. Leaves are long and narrow, growing to .75m. Pendulous flowers are held on long panicles. Seeds are silver-purple in summer before turning a golden colour and retained into winter.
Uses
Ornamental grass suitable for rockeries, herbaceous borders and cottage gardens. Flower stems are used as a dried flower.
Culture
Suitable for full sun and a cool or temperate climate. Prefers well-drained soil. Frost tolerant and drought resistant. Propagate by seed or division.
