Herbaceous perennial forming a rosette of deeply-toothed, dark green leaves. Small purple flowers form flat terminal heads that appear in summer and autumn on sparse, wiry stems approx 1.2m high.
Uses

Culture
Suitable for full sun and a cool or temperate climate. Prefers well-drained soil. Tolerates frost and dry conditions. Propagate by seed, cuttings or division.
