Runaway Robin
Evergreen perennial plant to 15cm high with an indefinite spread. The leaves are opposite, reniform and pale green with scalloped margins. Insignificant violet flowers are borne on the leaf axils in spring. 'Variegata' features white leaf margins.
Uses
Ornamental ground cover suitable for garden beds where it can be kept under control. Can also be grown in pots and hanging baskets.
Culture
Suitable for full sun or part shade in cool and temperate climates. Prefers fertile, moist and well-drained soil. Frost tolerant. Propagate from cuttings in spring, or by division in spring or autumn. Can be invasive.
