Herbaceous perennial arising from a bulb. The basal leaves are long, upright and strap-like. The pendant, bell-shaped, white flowers have green tips and are borne on leafless stems approx 60cm high during winter and early spring.
Uses
Flowering bulb suitable for woodland sites or under deciduous trees.
Culture
Suitable for semi-shade in temperate climates. Prefers moist soil. Frost tolerant. Propagate by dividing the bulbs in spring or autumn, or by seed in autumn.
