Sweet Pea
Fast-growing, tendril-climbing annnual to 2m high if given support. Leaves are ovate and mid-green. The scented, pea-like flowers are approx 35mm wide and occur in large spikes from late winter to summer. There are many varieties available featuring a wide variety of colours. Some varieties have a dwarf habit.
Uses
Ormanental climbing annual suitable for growing on trellis, tree stumps, etc.
Culture
Suitable for full sun in cool and temperate climates. Prefers deep, fertile, well-drained soil. Frost tolerant. Provide a trellis or other support. Propagate by seed in autumn or early spring.
