Fast-growing, evergreen, soft-wooded shrub to 75cm high by 1m wide. The wrinkled leaves are veined, ovate and dark green. Fragrant purple flowers occur in flat clusters from spring to autumn.

Uses

Ornamental shrub suitable for cottage gardens and garden beds.

Culture

Suitable for full sun and a warm climate. Prefers moist, fertile and well-drained soil. Frost sensitive. In cooler climates grow under glass or as a summer bedding plant. Propagate from seed or cuttings.
