Upright herbaceous perennial up to 1m high by 30cm wide, usually grown as an annual. Stems arise from a rosette and support ovate leaves. the scented, tublar flowers range from white, pink and red, occurring in summer and autumn.

Uses

Ornamental flower suitable for cottage gardens or as a bedding plant.

Culture

Grow in full sun or semi-shade in a temperate climate. Prefers fertile, well-drained soil. Frost resistant. Propagate by seed in early spring.
