Pelargonium

The parent of a large group of Pelargonium varieties. Herbaceous perennials, usually grown as annuals in colder climates. Their height and spread range from 20cm to 1m. The leaves are rounded and typically have a darker 'zone'. The single or double flowers are usually in shades of pink or red and occur from spring to autumn.

Uses

Suitable for cottage gardens, pots, and as a bedding plant.

Culture

Grow in full sun in cool and temperate climates. Prefers well-drained soil. Sensitive to frost, heat and humidity. Avoid overwatering and deadhead regularly. Propagate by cuttings from spring to autumn. Susceptible to rust.
