Fast growing, branching, herbaceous perennial, usually grown as an annual. Height and spread up to 30cm. The leaves are ovate, ranging from mid-green to dark green. Produces single or double trumpet-shaped flowers throughout the warmer times of the year. The flowers grow between 5-10cm wide and come in a large range of clours, depending upon the variety.

Uses

Ornamental flowering annual suitable as a bedding plant, or grow in pots or hanging baskets.

Culture

Grow in a sheltered position in full sun in temperate and warm climates. Prefers fertile, well-drained soil. Fertilise regularly for best results. Frost sensitive. The petals of some varieties are damaged by rain. Deadhead regularly. Propagate by seed.
