Fast growing annual plant that can reach 40cm high by 20cm wide, but is often smaller. Lanceolate, light green leaves. Bears masses of 3-4cm wide, 5-petalled flowers in shades of white, pink and red during summer and autumn.
Uses
Flowering annual suitable for cottage gardens and as a bedding plant.
Culture
Grow in full sun or semi-shade. Adapts to most climatic zones. Prefers moist, fertile and well-drained soil. Propagate from seed. Susceptible to two-spotted mite and powdery mildew.
