Artillary Plant
Small annual or perennial herbs, with fleshy stems and often decorative oval shaped leaves. Some species are trailing, forming a dense mat, others are small upright shrubs.
Uses
Indoor or Greenhouse plant
Outdoors in tropical and sub tropical climates.
Culture
Likes warm, humid conditions. Does well out of direct sunlight. Does well in pots. Prefers good drainage, even sandy soils.
Prune freely to control size and shape. Mulch to maintain soil moisture. Responds well to feeding and watering during dry periods.
Propagation
Easy to strike from cuttings.
Cultivars
More than 200 species exist, including many named varieties that are
widely grown as indoor plants in temperate climates, and shade plants in
hotter climates.
