This evergreen vine climbs to a height of approximately 5 metres. Many varieties are avialable, including some that only grow to 1.5 metres. Its leaves are oval shaped with serrated margins. It bears small flowers which are followed by reddish purple berries.

Uses

Ornamental vine suited for growing on trellises or to screen fences etc.

Culture

A hardy vine which adapts to most soil types. It can be successfully grown in a range of different situations and is drought and frost resistant. Propagate by cuttings or root division.
