Creeping St John's Wort

This small evergreen groundcover or sub-shrub grows to a height of 0.3 metres, with a spread of up to 1 metre. It has a creeping stem and thick oval leaves that are approximately 10 cms long. It bears bright yellow flowers, 7cms in diameter in summer.

Uses

Ornamental shrub suited to wide range of conditions,including rock gardens and under deciduous trees.

Culture

Suited to both full sun and shade, it will produce more flowers in a sunny position. A hardy shrub which prefers rich, moist soils in a protected position. It can be propagated from seed and cuttings.
